Carbon-carbon composite material refers to a pure carbon multiphase structure composed of high-strength carbon fiber as the reinforcing phase and chemical vapor infiltration pyrolysis carbon or liquid phase impregnation-carbonized resin carbon and pitch carbon as the matrix. It’s generally divided into woven products and laminates. Laminates are further divided into long fibers and short fibers.
Features of C/C composite material:
• High temperature resistance: excellent mechanical and electrical properties can still be maintained at temperatures above 2000°C .
• High strength: the strength is 5 times that of steel at high temperature .
• Excellent thermal shock resistance .
• Low thermal expansion coefficient .
• Low heat capacity .
• Low density .
• Excellent anti-corrosion and anti-radiation properties.
